Director of the Electoral Reform society in Scotland, a founding member of Compass management Committee and Co-author of a number of Common Weal Papers covering subjects such as Social Security, Tax and Universalism. He is also the author of a recent book on non voters called ‘Missing Scotland’.

Lesley Orr

Lesley Orr

Lesley is a feminist historian, writer and activist, currently based at the University of Edinburgh. She has undertaken groundbreaking historical research on women and social change in modern Scotland, as well as working with Scottish Women's Aid and Women for Independence. 

Isobel Lindsay
Our Board —

Isobel Lindsay 

Isobel Lindsay is a peace activist, social campaigner and long-standing campaigner for Scottish independence. She is a retired sociology lecturer who was head of campaigns for the SNP in the 1970s and 1980s. She is a former convener of the Campaign for a Scottish Parliament and a member of the Scottish Constitutional Convention and is Vice Convener of Scottish CND.

Elaine C Smith

Elaine C Smith

Elaine is an actress and comedian, and long standing campaigner for Scottish indepedence. She is convener of the Scottish Independence Convention, and a supporter of numerous charities, including Zero Tolerance and Relationships Scotland.

George Kerevan

George Kerevan

George is a journalist, economist and author of various books covering topics such as Catalan independence, Scottish independence, and economics. He was SNP MP for East Lothian from 2015, until the snap 2017 general election. 

Iain Black

Iain Black 

Iain is a Professor in Marketing, and Marketing and Retail, at Stirling University, and author of a number of academic papers and policy proposals. He is a campaigner for Scottish Independence and on the Executive Committee for the Scottish Independence Convention.

Gehan MacLeod

Gehan is Co-founder at GalGael Trust since it's beginnings in 1995. Gehan is a community activist with strong interests in alternative economics and exploring transformational change, community dynamics and emergence.

Malcolm Fraser

Malcolm Fraser

Malcolm is an architect, writer and built environment campaigner. He founded Malcolm Fraser Architects in 1993 before setting up Fraser/Livingstone Architects in January 2019. 

Pat Kane
Our Board —

Pat Kane

Pat is a musician, writer, consultant and activist. He is one half of the Scottish pop-soul group Hue And Cry. Pat was elected as an SNP Rector of Glasgow University in 1990 (with Nicola Sturgeon, Alasdair Allen and Shona Robison as his campaign team!).

Angela Constance 

Angela has been SNP MSP for Almond Valley since 2007. She has held a series of ministerial posts in the Scottish Government from 2010 to 2018, and served as Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities from May 2016 to June 2018.

Tommy Sheppard

Tommy Sheppard

Tommy has been SNP MP for Edinburgh East since May 2015. He is the SNP spokesperson on the Cabinet Office in the House of Commons. He is also known for founding The Stand Comedy Clubs in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Cat Boyd

Cat is a trade union activist who was a co-founder of the Radical Independence Campaign and the Scottish Left Project. She was a prominent figure during the Scottish Independence Referendum.
