Common Weal Aberdeen was set up in late 2014 after an exciting time politically.
Our vision is simple: to see in Aberdeen a rejection of a Me-First attitude and instead build a city that puts All of Us First.
We have always sought to inspire and educate the local community, realising the potential of working in new ways with new ideas.
In that time we have campaigned on several local issues important to Aberdeen including open data, housing, local democracy, economics, climate change, air quality and the circular economy. Essentially, we are guided by those that involved in the group. Whether someone wants to host a talk or screen a film we will always support as we look to promote the Common Weal.
We want to grow Common Weal Aberdeen. Whatever your interest or issue is we want to hear about it. We want it to be a local “Think and Do tank “utilising the talents of the North East and working for the people of Aberdeen.
If you wish to join us we would love to welcome you, to one of our monthly
We meet in Ma Camerons, The Snug, Little Belmont Street, Aberdeen
