Common Weal is piloting a new weekly Policy Podcast which will explain our policies, discuss the impact we’re having in Scotland and comment on policy news going on during the week.
You can download this podcast directly here.
In this first episode, Campaigns Officer Jonathon Shafi and Head of Policy & Research Craig Dalzell look at the news that the SNP will be discussing whether or not to adopt the Growth Commission report as part of their blueprint for independence.
In particular, we look at the “six tests” that would need to be passed in order for an independent Scotland to launch its own currency and find that they would all be extremely difficult to pass and would act as a barrier to forming a currency rather than being a target to meet.
You can listen to the podcast above and if you have any comments, questions or suggestions for future topics then email Craig at firstname.lastname@example.org.
