This week, Craig talks to Rosemary Harris from Platform to discuss their new report with Friends of the Earth Scotland – Our Power. This report collected interviews with offshore oil workers about their views on the future of the sector and what they would like to see happen in terms of a Just Transition into sectors such as renewables. They discuss the importance of not just a Just Transition – one that avoids workers just being cast aside as they were when Scotland moved away from coal – but how this transition should be led by the workers involved who, as shown in the report, know what needs to be done to help them thrive through the coming changes.
