Episode 78 of the Common Weal Policy Podcast
You can download the episode directly here.
This week, Craig Dalzell is joined by two special guests from Scotland’s Climate Assembly. Iain Stewart was the Lead Communicator on the Assembly and Ellie Clarke was one of the 100 people chosen to represent Scotland on the Assembly as they discussed the issues raised by the climate emergency and what Scotland could do about them. They each talk about their experiences and perspectives gained from being members of the Assembly and Craig touches on his experience as one of the people invited to provide evidence to it.
They then look at how the Citizens’ Assembly model could be used in the future to look at other big topics of discussion.
You can read the Climate Assembly’s Interim Report, published today, here. The full report will be published in May.
