On a personal day out with the kids at Traquair house, one of our team members encountered Stuart Meechan’s wonderful workshop. Stuart is an ex-kilt maker and a keen independence supporter, his shop and workshop Whisky Barrel Gifts is an absolute delight to the eyes and a real conflict to our anti-consumerism dedication… we all want one of everything!
Stuart very kindly accepted to work with us to bring you these gorgeous and one of a kind gift sets. Each one is beautifully hand-made from reclaimed oak barrels previously used for ageing and storing our national beverage. Our logo has been tastefully laser engraved onto the stave and wax-coat finished to allow the natural wood to show in full splendour, the whisky glasses sit on fitted Charcoal Harris Tweed inserts. We have included a pair of delicate Glencairn nosing glasses along with a wee pouch of whisky barrel chips to enhance the rich experience of sharing a good malt with a loved one.
